New customer and new deals mark start of significant year for Bruntwood Leeds building

Bruntwood, the leading regional property company, has welcomed another new customer to its 14 King Street building, while two existing customers have underlined their commitment to Leeds by signing new deals.

TLIP (Turnbull Lynch Intellectual Property), which also has offices in Cambridge and Dublin and specialises in advising innovators in new products, processes and systems with regard to patent and trademark protection has taken a first floor suite in the city centre building, moving from Leeds Innovation Centre to accommodate their growing business.

The Maples Group, a leading service provider offering clients a comprehensive range of legal services on the laws of the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Ireland, Jersey and Luxembourg has expanded its space in the building taking the full fifth floor and a portion of the 3rd floor .

GatenbySanderson, one of the UK’s leading executive recruitment specialists, has signed a new 10-year lease extension for 14 King Street.

Alex Turnbull, managing director at TLIP, said: “Our growing success means that we need new staff and more space and an upgraded office and 14 King Street meets our requirements.

“Our staff and clients contributed to the choice of location and we are confident that our new location will maintain our close relationship with Leeds spin-outs, tech companies and service providers to the University of Leeds”.

The trio of announcements heralds the start of significant change at the Bruntwood building in 2019.

Bruntwood is relocating its own offices and staff from its Platform building to the ground floor of 14 King Street, ahead of planned major refurbishment to amenities in the building over the next 12 months, including a new reception area, new cycle storage upgrade and customer showers.
