heb plays its part in Cotgrave regeneration

HEB chartered surveyors has successfully completed valuation and acquisition advice for the purchase of the Cotgrave Shopping Centre.

The sale of Candlebury Lane Centre, bought by Rushcliffe Borough Council from East Park Investments (Leicester), is a key part of the multi-million regeneration of the town which will promote future growth, create new jobs, new homes, shops and modernised public services.

Rob Maxey from heb said: “It has been extremely satisfying to see this major deal concluded on behalf of a much valued client. The new scheme looks set to vastly improve the town centre, and it is always pleasing to be involved in a project where tangible regeneration is the final outcome. “

Katherine Marriott from Rushcliffe Borough Council added: “We were very happy with the advice and service provided by heb in what was a complex acquisition.”
It is planned to redevelop the shopping centre site as part of a wider regeneration project.

This involves building up to 470 new homes on the former colliery site.  The precinct would be linked to this development by a pleasant walkway to encourage further use.

Plans for Cotgrave aim to bring more employment and training opportunities to the town.

Heb has been working with Rushcliffe Borough Council on the shopping centre project over the last two years.
