Car parts firm parks at new unit

Unit A4/A5, Commerce Park, Frome.

A large double unit on a popular Frome business park has been snapped up by the UK’s number one distributor of car and LCV parts, Euro Car Parts.

Property consultancy Myddelton & Major successfully negotiated the letting of Unit A4/A5, at Commerce Park on behalf of the landlord.

Quoting rent for the 5,049 sq ft (469.05 sq m) unit was undisclosed with Euro Car Parts signing a 10-year lease.

Myddelton & Major Senior Surveyor, Rachael Ward, said: “I was pleased to be able to facilitate the arrival of such a major company into Frome, which demonstrates growing confidence in the local economy.”

Every year, Euro Car Parts supplies essential components and consumables to more than five million cars and light commercial vehicles.

Each day, more than 3,000 Euro Car Parts vans and bikes make over 82,000 daily deliveries to independent and franchised garages, bodyshops and fleet service centres across the UK.

The company, founded in 1978, now has over 300 branches nationwide with 160,000 car parts available.

Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of Euro Car Parts. Philip Cranstone, Associate said: “Euro Car Parts’ unit occupies a corner/end of terrace position, situated at a prominent location off the main entrance road into Commerce Park.

“This prominence together with its location on the Frome bypass, midway between the M4, M5 and A303 corridors close to the junction of the A36 and A361, made this the ideal solution to the Frome requirement.”

Other established businesses at Commerce Park include Screwfix, Storagebase, Cox & Cox Mail Order, Premier Inn Hotel, Acheson & Acheson, Eyre & Elliston, Spectrum Housing Group and Total Plumbing.

Frome is situated in a strategic location on the Somerset/Wiltshire border with excellent road and rail access to major networks.
