New client wins bring changes for Welsh PR agency

One of Wales’ leading public relations agencies Effective Communication has announced a series of promotions and high-profile client wins.

The Cardiff-based company has started work with a variety of new clients including the South Wales Chamber of Commerce, Kidney Wales, Christ College Brecon, Colegau Cymru and Chepstow Plant International.

Managing Director Alastair Milburn said: “We have worked hard in recent months to clarify and solidify our client offering so I’m really pleased that this investment has paid off, leading to a number of exciting new client wins. The Welsh PR market is a crowded one so I’m glad that we are still able to differentiate.”

The company has also undergone a restructure, resulting in promotions for Lydia Whitfield and Katherine Kennedy to Associate Director, and Rhys Gregory being named the company’s first Digital Director.

Alastair, a former editor of the South Wales Echo, said: “This is a very exciting time for the company and I’m confident that we have a strong team in place to help drive the business forward.

“Lydia and Katherine have been instrumental in building the future strategy for the business and I look forward to continuing to work with them to shape the business.

“Rhys has been involved in Effective’s digital offering since its early days, and this promotion is testament to the creativity and dedication he has shown to ensuring that Effective has remained one of Wales’ premium agencies.”

Effective was founded in 2005 and has won a string of industry awards including Best Large Consultancy in Wales twice.
