Salmon Harvester Properties submits major mixed use application in Windsor

Salmon Harvester Properties has submitted plans for a £100 million mixed-use development at 67 Alma Road (the Former Imperial House site), Windsor to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

The site already has an existing office consent for some 250,000 sq ft of offices.

The latest application is for a combination of offices and new apartments; 217 new one and two bedroom flats with communal facilities and 142 parking spaces on the northern part of the site and a105,000 sq ft net office building with 219 parking spaces to the south.

The Grade A offices have been designed to be used flexibly, either to satisfy the needs of a single business or to be sub-divided. The residential element may be brought forward as build to rent.

If consented, the project will generate a Community Infrastructure Levy payment to the Council of approx. £6.5million as well as a contribution towards off-site provision of affordable housing.

Doug Stewart, CEO of Salmon Harvester said: “We are delighted to have submitted these proposals after an exhaustive pre-application consultation with the Council. We hope to progress the town’s first build to rent scheme and at the same time deliver flexible office space to meet Windsor’s future commercial needs. If consented, we will be moving into the construction phase straightaway.”
