The agency, which has offices in both Derby and Nottingham, has been reappointed by intu to support the shopping centre owner lease units in Derby following a competitive pitch.

Director at FHP and retail and leisure expert, Alan Pearson, said: “We have been working with intu across the East Midlands, supporting them in Nottingham and Derby for a number of years, so we were of course delighted to be reappointed at intu Derby.

“We are based in the city and have our finger on the pulse within the local market. We know that the retail and leisure scene in Derby is thriving and there is strong demand from national retail and leisure operators.

“We have seen intu Derby go from strength to strength. It’s a prime retail and leisure destination and we are looking forward to continuing to work alongside the team to further enhance the tenant mix, driving the customer experience at intu Derby.”

Leading strategic marketing and creative design agency, RizkMcCay worked alongside the team to put together the successful bid.

Kate Swarbrooke, account director at RizkMcCay, added: “FHP is a longstanding client of ours, so we really understand their experience not only across the region but also their expertise within the retail and leisure sector.

“We applied that in-depth knowledge of the business to work alongside the team to put together what we are very pleased was a successful bid. It was a real team effort.”

Alan added: “RizkMcCay thoroughly understands our business and worked incredibly hard to ensure that our bid was the very best it could be. Their expertise is second to none and they played an important part in our reappointment.”

In recent months, FHP has worked closely with intu to secure deals with brands including Timberland, Cycle Republic, The Real Buzz and Starbucks at intu Derby, further enhancing the retail and leisure mix at the centre.
