National city management body role for Swansea BID Chief Executive

Russell Greenslade

The Chief Executive of Swansea BID (Business Improvement District), Russell Greenslade, has been elected as National Chair for Wales of the Association of Town Centre Management (ATCM).

The ATCM is a key voice for town and city management, developing and implementing action plans to support town and city centres throughout the UK and Ireland,  helping them prosper.

Russell said: “I’m delighted to have been chosen as National Chair for Wales of the Association of Town Centre Management – a voluntary role I will carry out alongside my important work for Swansea BID.

As a long-standing member of ATCM I have seen the vital work it carries out to safeguard, develop and future-proof our town and city centres. The group is a force for good and a propagator of inventive ideas and strategies as well as having a strong lobbying voice with Government and with policy makers.

The ATCM has been instrumental in re-invigorating the Purple Flag scheme, which has been such a valuable initiative for Swansea, and my position as National Chair for Wales will help me to further promote the interests of Swansea City Centre, by tapping into best practice and the most up-to-date thinking and initiatives that can benefit our City Centre.”
