Acorn appoints industry expert to lead contact centre recruitment team

Neil Clevett

Acorn, Wales’ leading specialist recruitment agency, has appointed a former Contact Centre worker to lead their drive to recruit more call centre staff across Wales.

Neil Clevett has been appointed as Lead Consultant to expand Acorn’s Contact Centre Division following an increased demand for workers within the industry.  And, having spent ten years working within the contact centre industry himself, he believes having the right staff in place has never been more important for businesses.

Neil said: “With increasing customer expectations adding extreme pressures to businesses today, it’s more important than ever to recruit the right employees in the first instance. Our aim is to save our clients valuable time and money by doing just that.”

Neil first joined Acorn as a recruitment consultant within the IT & Digital Division in 2016, and has a strong background in business development for high profile firms. Prior to this he worked his way up from Customer Service Assistant to Team Leader then Manager within the contact centre industry, and is therefore well placed to recognise the qualities needed for all sorts of contact centre roles across a variety of levels.

He described his new role as an ‘exciting’ new challenge: “It is a great privilege to lead Acorn’s specialist Contact Centre Division.  For me, the Contact Centre industry is one of the most exciting environments you can work in; it’s so fast-paced. Of course it’s not for everyone, but when you do find the people who are truly meant to work in the sector, it’s fantastic to watch them thrive within the businesses we work with.

“With so many leading employers based in South Wales offering great career prospects in sales and customer service, we have some excellent roles on offer for advisors and team leaders.”

Maria Larcombe, Director of Operations, said: “With his industry specific experience, Neil has been a fantastic addition to this team. At Acorn, all our recruitment consultants and managers have the relevant experience and background within the specialist sectors we work in and can therefore truly understand our clients and candidates’ needs.”

Established in 1992, Acorn has 34 branches and on-site locations across the UK.  They provide specialist permanent, contract and temporary recruitment support within a number of sectors including IT & Digital, Commercial, Legal, Finance, Executive Search, Construction, Technical & Engineering, Nursing & Healthcare and Driving & Logistics.
