New lease of life for Wolverhampton factory

A prominent former factory premises in Wolverhampton is in line to be transformed into a vibrant community centre providing various services to the community in and around Wolverhampton.  The Former Crosbie Costings factory on Walsall Street has been purchased by the Oasis of Love International Centre who will be making a significant investment in transforming the redundant factory buildings.

The buildings which currently occupy 15,295 sq ft will see various phases of re-development to create a new facility for local people including training rooms, creche, worship centre, and a multi-purpose main conference hall which will seat around 800 people.

Richard Bache of Towler Shaw Roberts who handled the sale said as soon as we put this property on the market we had a good level of interest, mainly due to the location being close to the city centre but also in close proximity to the A454 which provides access out towards the M6 motorway. The property had been used for industrial uses previously but it became clear that demand for this location was coming from other types of occupier. I see the proposed new use for this building as breathing new life into an otherwise redundant industrial building

The purchase of the property was handled by Dwight Bond of Andrews Law solicitors who said, this was a complex purchase for the Trustees as the site was previously used for industrial processes and so there were many considerations and environmental aspects to consider to ensure that the Trustees acquired a property that would be a good long term investment for the Charity.  The acquisition of this site will now allow the Charity to extend the services they offer to the general public and those in a disadvantaged position which is a great project to be involved with.
