Atlantis Resources picks up Quay² new Grade A office space

Atlantis Resources has expanded and relocated its Edinburgh operation to Quay² in Fountainbridge, in a deal brokered by CuthbertWhite, Knight Frank, and Mhairi Jarvis.

The renewable energy company has acquired 3,896 sq. ft. of Grade A office space at the building, moving from its current 2,650 sq. ft. accommodation at 90A George Street which is spread over three levels.

Situated in Edinburgh’s Exchange District, Quay² is part of the Edinburgh Quay canal-side scheme. Its current tenants include business advisory firm, RSM; international law firm, Pinsent Masons; and government-owned Companies House. Tesco leases the ground floor retail unit.

Consisting of 60,134 sq. ft. and 29 private car parking spaces, Quay² is now 84% let. The building is one of Edinburgh’s greenest office buildings, offering a BREEAM Rating of “Very Good” and an EPC rating of B.

The agents said the remaining 9,505 sq. ft. of space in the building, which could be split between occupiers, was attracting interest from a number of potential suitors.

Toby Withall, Office Agency Partner at Knight Frank, said: “There’s a renewed level of activity in the Edinburgh market, with more viewings and transactions across the board. The amount of city centre space on offer to occupiers is fast diminishing and, with no new-build space coming onto the market for some time, availability is reaching near-record lows.

“Fountainbridge is coming on leaps and bounds, with further progress soon likely on the significant regeneration schemes next door. Office occupiers are increasingly being attracted to the area and we’re already seeing notable interest in the remaining space at Quay².”

Chris Cuthbert, Director at CuthbertWhite, added: “Securing a hugely exciting and visionary tenant like Atlantis Resources reinforces the reasons for acquiring office space at Quay². It’s a very ‘green’ building with a first class specification; an excellent first impression, particularly with the recently completed reception refurbishment; and their new office has a real ‘wow’ factor.

“This location in The Exchange has reinvented itself and is now attracting a broad spectrum of tenant types. It’s great to be a part of it and we wish Atlantis Resources many happy years in the building.”
