Ryden wins two new management mandates

Shawfair Business Park in Dalkeith

Ryden has recently been appointed to manage the property portfolios of Buccleuch Property and Caledon Property Group.  The remit for both contracts includes day-to-day management, rent collection, service charge administration and health and safety compliance.

The firm picked up the Buccleuch Property instruction for 20 assets located across Scotland and the North of England following a competitive tendering process. The strength of the firm’s in-house property accounts team and its ability to tailor accounting reports were key factors contributing to its appointment.  The estate totals almost 600,000 sq ft and comprises a mix of offices, industrial units, development land and residential accommodation. Shawfair Business Park in Dalkeith; Ashley Business Court in Rotherham; and 221 West George Street in Glasgow are just a few of the properties within the portfolio.

The Caledon Property Group contract comprises a portfolio of eight properties across the central belt of Scotland.  The estate totals almost 120,000 sq ft and includes office, industrial and mixed-use accommodation, including Greenside House in Edinburgh, industrial units at Pitreavie Business Park in Dunfermline and mixed-use properties on Admiral Street in Glasgow.

Head of Ryden’s Property Management group Derek Tillery commented: “We are delighted to be awarded these fantastic management mandates.  This is our first instruction from Caledon Property Group and we look forward to building a productive working relationship.  Ryden has a strong history of working with Buccleuch Property on transactional instructions and it’s great to see this evolve to now also include management advice. ”

Susan Cameron, Head of Ryden’s Property Management team in Edinburgh who will manage the contracts, said: “These latest appointments add to what has been a very successful and busy year for Ryden’s property management team in Edinburgh with new instructions also received from City and Pacific, Prestigic Holdings Ltd and West Craigs Properties Ltd.”
