Anglo Holt really motoring with JLR contracts

Anglo Holt Construction is really motoring after announcing it is working on two key projects with prestige car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) at its Solihull site in the West Midlands.

Construction teams from West Bromwich-based Anglo Holt have commenced work on a design and build contract for a materials, planning and logistics centre, measuring 107, 642 sq ft (10,000 m2).

The project marks two firsts for JLR’s built environment at Solihull. It creates its first BREEAM performance rated building and the first to be designed and constructed to meet the criteria of the company’s Eco 21st Century Project Build.

The wide span triple steel portal frame structure will be fronted by a purpose designed showcase reception area, vehicle showroom, conference suite and offices all reflecting JLR’s corporate standards in addressing environmental impact through carbon reduction.

Anglo Holt director Andy Hall also announced that the company has won a further JLR contract to build an IT data centre.

JLR’s new 12,000 sq ft (1,200m2) portal framed data centre building will include a secure enclosure for IT equipment and an admin/office area.

Andy said: “It is a pleasure and a privilege to be working alongside Jaguar Land Rover on these two important projects and we are delighted to be able to contribute to the continued growth of the company’s global brands.

“Anglo Holt is proud of its status as a member of an elite group of suppliers of construction services to the best of the world’s automotive industry giants.
