New website gives Gower visitors the full picture

A new multi-media website of 360-degree imagery and video has been launched for visitors to Gower, Mumbles and Swansea Bay to help them choose where to stay and what to do when it comes to making the most of the area.

Developed by Home From Home, the largest holiday property agency in the region, the site is called www.discovergower360.com and includes pictures taken using a 360 degree camera.

Tourism is one of Wales’ key sectors, generating £8.7 billion for the Welsh economy and employing 15% of the work force with an increase in visitor numbers year on year.

This initiative by Home From Home will enhance the visitor experience further and, says its MD Matthew Bound: “We always try to add value to the visitor experience and this website certainly provides a more immersive view of what’s on offer.

“We’ve been welcoming visitors to the Gower Peninsular for over 40 years and as well as offering over 220 self-catering properties, helping people decide what to see and do when here is a key part of our service”.

“By creating this website we’ve gone a step further as with captioned images that give an all-the-way round view of restaurants, golf courses, leisure and activity centres, beaches and castles, visitors have a much clearer idea of what to expect before they book or set off,” adds Bound.
