Leading South West industry calls up entries for 2012 excellence awards

A multi-million pound a year industry employing some 52,000 people in the south West is set to recognise the excellence in its ranks.

The skills of the best people employed in the challenging contact centre industry and the places where they work are to be singled out for praise at the South West Contact Centre Awards 2012.

Organised by the employer-led organisation the South West Contact Centre Forum (SWCCF) these fourth annual awards celebrate excellence and innovation by individuals and teams from across the region’s 250 contact centres.

Nominations for the free to enter awards are now being sought and close on Thursday, April 12.

SWCCF Managing Director Jane Thomas said: “The South West Contact Centre Awards offer the chance for employers, employees and others associated with the contact centre industry in the South West, to be recognised for the important work that they perform.

“The South West hosts many of the best contact centre operations in the UK today. It is with this in mind that the awards will recognise these outstanding businesses and those that deliver excellence to their respective customers.”

Categories for individuals ands companies include best support person, agent, team leader, trainer/coach, manager and also people development, support team, customer service, best use of technology, business in the community, best outsourced partnerships, best public sector contact centre and best private sector contact centre.

Applications are open to any call/contact centres, IT help desks, training departments and any inbound or outbound customer communication networks employing five or more people and based within the South West.

Award nominations for entries close on Thursday, April 12.

Finalists will be honoured and the winners unveiled at the South West Contact Centre Awards gala presentation ceremony on Thursday, 28 June, 2012 at the Marriott City Centre Hotel, Bristol. This glittering black-tie event will attended by 400 guests from amongst the biggest names in the contact centre industry, gathering for an amazing night of celebration.
