New Role for New Brook House, Radford, Nottingham

Nottingham Regeneration Limited (NRL) has had a successful launch of its new start-up space at New Brook House, Alfreton Road, Nottingham, with 4 new tenants moving in over the past 4 months. Facilities offered include desk and storage with phone, internet and general business support.

The building, owned by NRL with on-site management provided by Nottingham Office Services, offers a wide range of tenancy options including virtual tenancies, hot-desking, start-up space and office units ranging from 255 sq ft to 750 sq ft.

Along with important 19th century history it comes with a host of 21st century support. The dedicated Centre Manager Kim Holbrook and her team are able to offer services including a manned reception, assistance with administrative services including meeting and training room bookings and business start-up support. There are plenty of break-out spaces for informal chats, along with kitchenettes and a tenant’s lounge. The on-site team can also organise catering ranging from coffee and biscuits through to buffets.

The site at Alfreton Road was once part of the famous cigarette manufacturing plant immortalised in Alan Sillitoe’s Saturday Night, Sunday Morning.  More recently it was used as a lace factory. It has been extensively improved while maintaining many of the original features. Along with the improved reception and break-out spaces, secure basement car parking is available.

Mona Walsh at NRL said: “This is a really important stage in the life of New Brook House. Following a number of enquiries we have decided to use some of our office units as start-up space and hot desking facilities. We have been thrilled by the response to date and look forward to welcoming new occupiers to New Brook House. We hope that as these companies grow they will move into other larger offices available in the building”.

Paul Lowe of Sporting Hearts said: “Starting out as a Virtual Tenant we felt that the atmosphere of New Brook House was in keeping with our community focus; we are now in a shared office space with similar minded people and feel the accommodation is working really well for us, whilst keeping our costs under control.”

Laurie Bryant of Midlands Careers and Business said: “Moving to shared office space at New Brook House means we benefit from a professional business address and suitable environment in which to meet clients, along with excellent networking opportunities and the support of a dedicated on site team providing day to day assistance.”
