Chartered Surveyors Training Trust appoints new Chief Executive

The Chartered Surveyors Training Trust (CSTT), the charity found in 1984 by the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors to create opportunities for young people to start a career in surveying, has appointed Katherine Parker as its new Chief Executive.

Katherine joins the CSTT from Bowles Rocks Trust where she was Director of Learning and Development. Prior to this Katherine  was previously working for the BAA Group, where she carried out a wide variety of role in the Learning and Development department and the Group Supply Chain function. Katherine is currently the independent chair of the Town and Country Housing Group Residents Scrutiny Panel.

CSTT Chairman, Richard Carter, said: “Katherine’s hands on experience in the areas of training and career development will be a major asset to the CSTT and its trainees. For nearly thirty years the trust has been assisting disadvantaged young people begin a career in surveying. Our services have never been in more demand than they are now and Katherine’s leadership skills combined with an understanding of the challenges faced by our trainees and the employers we work with will prove invaluable.”

Katherine Parker added: “The CSTT is all about providing life changing opportunities for young people, helping them to become qualified surveyors regardless of their academic, social or financial circumstances and I am thrilled by the challenge of this new position.”
