Gemma’s chance to shape future of LSH

Gemma Butler

West Midlands-based chartered surveyor Gemma Butler has been selected for the first executive secondment by national commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH).

Gemma, part of the industrial and logistics team at the company’s Birmingham office, will move to the London HQ where she will gain invaluable insight into the business with ‘no holds barred’ access to the Executive Board.

Adam Ramshaw, head of office at LSH in Birmingham, said: “Our mission to become the industry’s most progressive commercial property consultancy means giving all staff the opportunity to help shape the future of the business.

“The senior management team wanted to offer a newly qualified surveyor no holds barred access to the Executive Board, to gain further insight into our business and to share with us their ideas and perspectives.”

He added: “Newly qualified colleagues were offered the opportunity to apply for this executive position and, following a process of short listing and interview rounds, Gemma was selected. I’m sure she will learn a great deal but I’m equally confident, as a very talented surveyor, she will contribute just as much.

“Lambert Smith Hampton is focused on creating fantastic career development opportunities and there will be similar appointments in the future.”

Gemma said: “This is a very exciting opportunity for me to learn a huge amount about how Lambert Smith Hampton operates right across the business. It will give me a fascinating insight and I’m looking forward to contributing as much as I possibly can to help drive the business forward.”

She will relocate from Birmingham to London for six months and will work alongside the Executive Board and also as part of the capital markets team.  Once the secondment is complete she will return to Birmingham to resume her post in the industrial and logistics team.
