Sutton-in-Ashfield success – warehouse let and new occupiers to the region welcomed

Any deal is to be welcomed at any time but when a new business is brought to the area as a result of our marketing and efforts then not only professionally is the deal good news but also bringing jobs and employment to a district is satisfying as well.

This was very much the case with the recent letting of Unit 1C at Gateway 28, a modern warehouse property set just off the A38 at Junction 28 of the M1 Motorway.

Owned by Clowes Developments, Tim Gilbertson of FHP concluded the deal with saw the expansion of Reading based Celtic Technologies Limited into the region to take a new base for their expanding remediation business.

The deal was agreed swiftly and documented equally swiftly and we wish Celtic Technologies great success in their new home for the future.

Tim Gilbertson commented:

“A swift deal was agreed and an equally swift lease documented to provide Celtic Technologies with modern warehouse space in a prime location just off the A38 within minutes of Junction 28 of the M1 Motorway.

A long term lease was concluded and we have no doubt that as the last occupier within this excellent courtyard Celtic Technologies will find their unit ideal for their business expansion.  This letting shows again the strength of demand around the Junction 28 market and with no sign of new supply coming to the market it can be fully expected that rents and capital values will continue to rise over the coming months.

From a landlord or vendor’s perspective, now has been the best time for many years to put their property on the market given the improving demand from both potential leasehold and freehold occupiers and indeed the upward trend of both rental and capital values.”

Julia Roberts of Celtic Technologies Limited commented:

“We have relocated our engineering facility from South Wales to give us better transport links for our national operation. From finding the facility to moving in was a quick and painless process. We are delighted to be in the area, and have already employed 2 local staff, and are looking for more engineers.”

The Gateway 28 unit is owned by Clowes Developments and development surveyor Sarah Clowes commented:

“I am delighted that we have completed this letting and share Tim Gilbertson’s comments that whilst the deal is great, it is equally pleasing to bring a new occupier to the region.

At Clowes Development we are committed to developing the best possible commercial space in the hope of not only creating success for ourselves but also revitalising and improving locations by encouraging new occupiers and employers into the region.

This has very much been the case with this deal and thanks again to Tim Gilbertson at FHP for his determination to see this letting conclude.”
