CPBigwood signs up to BSRIA and commits to continuous improvement

Due to continual growth and commitment to improvement as property agents, CPBigwood has become a corporate member of the Building Services Research and Information Association.

BSRIA is an independent member-based body and a source of authoritative guidance for the industry.

The test, consultancy, instrument and research organisation works with construction and building services companies to help make buildings better.

Stephen Ellis, building services engineer at CPBigwood, said: “As buildings become more complex, it is imperative that managing agents have the knowledge and expertise to deal with ever increasing technical and environmental demands.

“Being members provides CPBigwood with access to a wealth of knowledge and gives us the opportunity to work with BSRIA in setting industry standards and best practise.

“Developments are now being built with minimal environmental impact and it is vital that managing agents have the expertise to manage them accordingly.

“Working with BSRIA enables CPBigwood to be at the front end of environmental building technology and allows us to work with and advise our clients when projects are still at the design stage.

“The aim is to help operators run and maintain their buildings more efficiently.”

The not-for-profit association has more than 650 member companies. Founded in 1955, it had a turnover of £12 million in 2013-14.

It employs 180 people at its head office in Bracknell, at regionally-based construction compliance offices throughout the UK, at offices in Beijing, Chicago, Toulouse and Madrid, and via associates in Northern Ireland, Japan, Brazil and Australia.
