New live lounge in Bristol officially opened with parliamentary visit

The Pensions Minister and MP for Yate and Thornbury, Steve Webb recently visited Clip Exhibition & Display in Bristol to officially open its new ‘live lounge’.

Clip has invested thousands to build the new 13,000 sq ft live lounge that will support its clients and the flourishing creative sector in Bristol.

The company is an international leader in the design and build of exhibition stands for companies of all sizes and works with a host of companies across the region and internationally including Thatchers Cider, Yankee Candle, HSBC, Nandos, Hilton, Dextra Lighting Group, Google, Westons Cider, BT and GSK.

At the building in Pucklechurch businesses of all sizes can come and discuss branding and marketing ideas; and create a live version of their stand, prior to it being constructed at an exhibition or event.

Mr Webb was also taken on a tour of Clip’s head office in Wick and met with staff.

He comments: “It was a great honour to officially cut the ribbon for this amazing creative space and meet with the directors and staff at Clip, who are major employers in Bristol.

“Clip is a business doing special things for its clients on an international scale and it was interesting to see how its approach has evolved over the last thirty five years; and how it has invested to stay at the cutting-edge.”

Paul Runacres, who is Head of Sales & Marketing at Clip, comments: “The aim of the live lounge is simple – to provide a space where companies can come up with ideas away from the office and produce amazing marketing collateral. Steve was enthusiastic about the work we do and we were delighted to welcome him.”

Paul and Managing Director Geoff Barrett also discussed Clip’s ambitious plans for growth.

The Live Lounge allows Clip to build a clients’ stand in any size, so they can have a full dress rehearsal before an exhibition or conference.

Clients can also bring their stand team to the space, so they can be briefed on the design concepts; and have training on how best to man a stand and achieve optimum return on investment.

Paul says the company is also planning to launch new products in 2015 and business owners will be able to experiment with augmented reality, directional audio and paperless literature systems at the Live Lounge in the coming months.
