Fuel importer expands into larger Cardiff Port offices

Independent fuel products importer Inver Energy has moved into larger new offices in the Port of Cardiff in Cardiff Bay.

The company has leased a 2,100 sq ft office in Queen Alexandra House on a five year lease.

Landlord Associated British Ports was advised in the transaction by the Cardiff office of property consultants Knight Frank.

Inver Energy acquired its 70m litre oil import terminal at Cardiff Bay from Texaco in 2006 and has since spent £12 m on its development.

Tony Wilson, commercial director at Inver Energy Ltd said: “As our business has expanded, the importance of an excellent working environment for our staff became a prime concern and the availability of a high quality office in Queen Alexandra House was a superb opportunity to remain within the port. The new office has provided more space with better accommodation, and we have recruited additional personnel to enable us to develop our sales and marketing activities.

“This is a first-class facility and there is no better view in South Wales.”

Mark Sutton, partner in the offices agency at Knight Frank in Cardiff, said: “The offices were recently refurbished by ABP and now offer high-quality accommodation in a striking location. With 24 hour manned security and generous on-site parking, they were a perfect match for Inver’s requirements.  A single 2,000 sq ft suite with generous on-site parking remains available to rent in the building.”
