Expansion for Cardiff insurance company

An insurance brokerage has announced it will be expanding with a new office as a result of increased demand for its services.

Protection specialist, Vita, which was set up in 2010 by Paul Reed and Barry Pappin, has relocated to a new 1,400 sq ft self-managed office at The Maltings, Cardiff.

The company, which provides independent advice and solutions for personal protection needs, has experienced significant growth which has resulted in the company moving offices five times over the last four years to accommodate additional staff to manage the increasing workload.

The new office will now provide the business with the space currently needed and also room for growth.

Vita now plans to continue to grow the business and also diversify into protecting businesses with a wide range of insurance products.

Paul Reed, director of Vita, said: “We are extremely proud of our growth over the last few years which is down to the hard work and commitment of our staff. Being able to take a new and bigger office just outside the centre of Cardiff is a great position to be in.

“We chose The Maltings as it provides us with the space we currently require but also the opportunity to grow. Also, if we outgrow this office, we can always look at taking a bigger office at The Maltings, meaning we do not have to worry about relocating. We’ve been able to put our own stamp on the office and, despite being a self-managed office, we have received great support from The Maltings’ team.”

Vita is the latest business to sign up to premises at The Maltings, joining new tenants Intertek Energy and Water Consultancy Services, which has recently moved into a serviced office at The Maltings.

Gareth Oram of The Maltings, said: “We are thrilled to welcome both Vita and Intertek to The Maltings. We have a range of different sized offices available either as a self-managed or serviced option, which is why we are popular with start-ups and SMEs alike. Both companies are making their mark in Wales and we are delighted to be able to help them grow and develop the presence further.”

The Maltings has been established for thirty years as a centre for Records Management and Document Storage, as well as a provider of self-managed and serviced office space.

The Maltings has begun a refurbishment programme which has seen the company invest £3m in developing vacant storage space into state-of-the-art serviced and self-managed offices and improved facilities for existing and new clients. To date, the company has introduced a café, a fully equipped on-site modern gym, meeting rooms, conference and video conferencing facilities, communal kitchen areas, shower rooms and break-out seating areas.
