Hampshire company aims for expansion after record year

A Hampshire company is stepping up expansion plans after its record-breaking 25th anniversary year.

Portsmouth-based McAndrew Martin, comprising chartered surveyors, engineers and architectural design services, is setting its sights on further growth over the next 12 months.

It comes after a successful 2014, which included takeovers of Brunel Design Services and Veness Chartered Surveyors, the launch of a land and new homes division and a 40% increase in demand for residential surveys and valuations.

The 20-strong company also threw a gala event at the Spinnaker Town to celebrate its silver anniversary.

Managing director Bill McAndrew said: “Our 25th anniversary year was the great success we always hoped it would be.

“It was down to the hard work of our dedicated and experienced staff as well as our valuable relationship with clients, suppliers and business associates.

“We recorded our best year so far and we are looking forward to the next 12 months with great confidence.

“After our silver success, we are now going for gold. Roll on the next 25 years.”

McAndrew Martin, which is based at the Fairway Business Centre, carries out work across Hampshire and the south as well as in London and the Home Counties.

McAndrew Martin’s plans for 2015 include expanding its conservation expertise overseas, and continued contracts to inspect and maintain prestigious buildings nationwide.

Bill added: “With increasing amounts of private architectural instructions and more general surveys and valuations, we are also looking to again increase our number of staff.”

The company also aims to continue its support of charities after raising £4,300 for Help for Heroes.

It will be holding its second annual charity golf day on Tuesday April 28 at the Waterlooville Golf Club, Cowplain.
