The CA4 Partnership Limited – new on the block

Two of the country’s leading Capital Allowances experts have recently set up The CA4 Partnership Limited, a niche consultancy that advises owners, occupiers and investors in commercial property.

Clive Searle and Tim Beresford have worked together in this specialist area of tax for nearly 25 years, during which time they have advised countless local property owners and worked on some of the region’s most prestigious developments.

They first started working together at Crosher & James back in the late 1980’s, where they both became Partners. They then continued to work together as Partners in David Langdon after the two firms merged in 2001.

Their new firm, which goes back to their roots of being part of a much smaller niche consultancy, has offices in Worcester and Solihull. Whilst they continue to advise some of the region’s largest property owners, they will also be supporting Accountancy practices that typically do not have this expertise in-house.

Tim Beresford commented “Capital Allowances continue to provide property owners and occupiers with massive tax saving opportunities. Taxpayers, however, wrongly assume that because it is a tax issue their accountant or general tax adviser will deal with the issue when typically they do not. This is partly because the rules around claiming these allowances are particularly complicated, but also requires a mix of legal, property and tax expertise which other advisers do not possess.”
