£6m Torbay Investment Property Portfolio to be auctioned

Charles Darrow is pleased to announce the forthcoming sale, by auction, of one of Torbay’s largest private investment property portfolios with a combined price in the region of £6 million. Individual auction guide prices start from £125,000 with lots including a mix of residential, commercial and HMO properties. Hopeful buyers will be able to make their bids at the property auction in London’s West End, in association with London based auctioneers, Network Auctions.

This high yielding portfolio can be acquired either prior to auction as whole, part or group lots; or subsequently at auction on March 3rd 2015, at The Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane.

High yielding investment properties and development opportunities are always highly sought after, especially when the range of properties is varied, including a mix of residential and commercial investments, as well as a large potential development site in Torquay.  The properties comprising this sizeable portfolio have one thing in common: they all provide exceptionally strong returns. With investors keen to spend their money in the improving South West property market, these properties are sure to attract keen interest.

“We are delighted to be offering these properties for sale on behalf of our clients” said Martin Blacoe, Director at Charles Darrow Commercial, based in Newton Abbot. “It’s rare to see investment portfolios of this size coming to market, this is a private portfolio which has been built up over a number of years, and, in our opinion, they will give the future owners an exceptional return on their investment. The properties are producing yields of up to 16% based on their auction guide prices, which is superb.”

Why are they being sold at auction? “Well, two primary reasons” replies Martin. “Firstly, we were keen to give the properties the widest exposure for our client. By partnering with a successful London based auctioneer, we will achieve this; and secondly, experience tells us that investors like to be sure that when they have purchased their property they know that the deal is done. Auction gives the buyer that certainty.”

Auction entries are still available for the London based auction.  Vendors looking for a sale by the end of March should seriously consider this route, with potential high returns on offer.
