Yorkshire software specialist showcases HR module at national conference

A South Yorkshire-based software specialist was on hand to showcase its latest HR technology to more than 4,000 attendees at a national conference.

SharePoint specialist PointSolutions, based in Manvers, Rotherham, is only the world’s second provider of a full Microsoft SharePoint human resources solution.

The solution is a one-stop-shop for HR teams, learning managers, department heads, directors and business owners. PointSolutions demonstrated the technology to thousands of HR professionals at the CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition which was held at the Manchester Central Convention Complex.

The software is designed to help businesses manage areas including annual leave, absenteeism, performances reviews and appraisals, timesheets, recruitment and onboarding and provides a number of powerful, real-time management reporting tools on one digital platform.

The system also gives staff secure access to information such as benefits, expenses and training via a self-service portal which also allows them to book holidays and review company policies and procedures.

Dave Bailey, Marketing Director of PointSolutions, said: “Our SharePoint HR system is a great fit for larger business looking to leverage their investment in SharePoint and eliminates the integration challenges that come with many disparate HR systems.

“The price point and modular approach also makes it a strong contender for businesses who are outgrowing their manual, paper based processes and the system has the flexibility to grow and flex as SMEs evolve.

“The event saw thousands of attendees who were seeking new HR tools, techniques and inspiration and we are delighted to have been on hand to offer a practical insight into our SharePoint HR solution.

“The feedback we have received has been extremely positive and it demonstrates the value of the HR solution to businesses both big and small.”

The CIPD is the professional body for HR and people development. It has more than 130,000 members internationally working in HR, learning and development, people management and consulting across private businesses and organisations in the public and voluntary sectors.
