Law firm moves into heart of Birmingham business district

A leading Midland law firm is about to launch an exciting new era by moving to refurbished offices in the heart of Birmingham’s business district.

DBS Law, which offers a broad range of legal services for business and private clients, has relocated its entire Birmingham operation from Broadway, Broad Street, to Grade A offices at 158 Edmund Street as part of a concerted drive to expand the business.

Davy Bal, chairman of the law firm that was named one of The Sunday Times’ 100 Best Small Companies to Work For, said it had spent several months looking for the right property in the city centre.

The high quality, energy efficient offices at 158 Edmund Street were the perfect fit for the ambitious company, providing employees with a first-class working environment in which to flourish.

“We had minimum criteria that we wanted to achieve in our new premises and the offices in Edmund Street surpassed them, providing everything we need in terms of location, centrality, and quality of space,” he said.

“Moving to the heart of the vibrant Colmore Business District will put us in an ideal position to grow our operations across our business and private client portfolios.

“We are entering an exciting phase in our evolution, having worked hard to achieve and maintain our reputation as a law firm that offers excellent service and value. We are looking forward to continuing working with old clients and new in our new home.”

Mr Bal also hinted of an exciting announcement that is planned for the official launch event this Friday (October 17), which is to be attended by Sir Albert Bore, the leader of Birmingham City Council, and John O’Reilly from Princes Trust.

“It will herald a significant change for us and other organisations in the city that have agreed to come on board,” said Mr Bal. “We are very much looking forward to unveiling it at our launch.”

158 Edmund Street is in the heart of Birmingham’s traditional commercial core, surrounded by the city’s best established business brands. The scheme provides a high profile address and excellent first impression located adjacent to the newly created Church Street Square.

DBS Law has offices in both the East and West Midlands serving clients across the UK. Through its DBS Heart programme, it is committed to supporting the community. Initiatives include being the first corporate patron of The Prince’s Trust in Birmingham and leading a partnership with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra to create a series of concerts for thousands of primary school children across the city, educating them about road safety.
