GVA completes letting to Siemens at Kings Court, Worcester

Leading property adviser, GVA, has completed a letting at 1 Kings Court, Worcester to global engineering and technology services company, Siemens Plc.

The letting, which comprises 4,104 sq ft and represents part of the ground floor, has been secured on a five year lease. The completion of this deal will see some 20 employees relocate from their former offices at Junction 6 of the M5.  The quoting rent for 1 Kings Court is £15.50 per sq ft.

A modern, three storey headquarters-style office building in a landscaped environment, 1 Kings Court has recently undergone a comprehensive refurbishment to Grade A standard, ensuring its place as one of the area’s best options for commercial accommodation.

With a prominent and highly visible location just off the A4440, 1 Kings Court also offers outstanding transport connections with Junctions 6 and 7 of the M5 each  just under two miles away, providing convenient access to the wider national motorway network.

Andrew Venables, Director in GVA’s Offices team, said: “The completion of this letting to Siemens is a clear demonstration of the quality of the space at 1 Kings Court. The availability of a significant amount of car parking, combined with ease of access to both the motorway network and public transport links offers occupiers a range of travel options, coupled with the amenities of Worcester city centre just over two miles away.

“Current interest in the remaining accommodation is very encouraging, reflecting a notable improvement in local market sentiment and we anticipate being able to secure further lettings in the near future.”

A global company that has had a presence in the UK for over 170 years, Siemens operates across the national energy, industry, infrastructure and cities and healthcare sectors. The company has 13 manufacturing sites and more than 25 major offices, employing over 13,760 people.

Andrew Beshaw, Siemens, said: “While this doesn’t represent a significant geographic move for us having occupied space just a few miles away, the calibre of the offices available at 1 Kings Court makes all the difference. We are exceedingly pleased to have secured this space at 1 Kings Court and look forward to moving our staff into the new premises.”

Just two and a half miles from Worcester city centre, 1 Kings Court benefits from regular bus services along Newton Road and frequent direct train services run from Worcester Shrub Hill and Foregate Street stations and offers on-site parking provision at a ratio of 1:264 sq ft.

GVA acted on behalf of landlord IM Properties in the completion of this deal, with Siemens represented by Rapleys.
