Acting on behalf of furniture retailer Maskreys, the Cardiff office of Jones Lang LaSalle, has completed the sale of the freehold interest in a modern distribution unit on Newlands Road, Wentloog, Cardiff to logistics and express delivery company, UPS.
The 44,785 sq ft unit was constructed in 2003 for Maskreys Furniture and occupies a site of 3.12 acres, with expansion potential.
The Bristol and Cardiff offices of Jones Lang LaSalle have advised Maskreys over the past year on the disposal of their retail and industrial portfolio, following the decision to close the business in September 2010.

However, as there is now a shortage of modern stock the Welsh Government could now encourage renewed speculative development through the extension of business rates exemption for new build schemes”.
