Global consultancy firm recruits five Coventry graduates

A Coventry-based business improvement company is looking to develop a new ‘lean’ business team after recruiting five new graduates.

Coventry University graduates Symran Sondh and Simran Osaan, who are both 22, are the first candidates to join KM&T’s new graduate programme, which has been launched in partnership with Coventry University, to find and develop new talent.

The pair join the team as business consultants and will be responsible for helping clients to improve their business and operational performance by implementing KM&T’s ‘lean’ business techniques.

Symran, who lives in Birmingham, said she is looking forward to developing new skills.

“It is fantastic that KM&T has launched a graduate programme as it will allow us to build-up our experience and complete the training process,” she said.

“I am looking forward to shadowing other business consultants at the firm and getting to grips with the lean methodology implemented by KM&T.

“I think the most rewarding part will be working with an organisation and seeing its processes improve. It doesn’t matter how big or small the company is I think just completing the first one will be a great feeling.”

Simran, who is from Leicester, is delighted to have been given the opportunity to prove herself.

She said: “I can’t wait to put into practice the specialist KM&T knowledge that we will learn throughout our training and help clients and other companies to improve their crucial processes.

“As a business consultant I will be able to be very independent, learn new things and I am looking forward to having that next level of responsibility.

“It is a new adventure for me and I am eager to prove my commitment and produce results.”

KM&T, which operates from its UK headquartersin Puma Way, Coventry, has introduced a graduate scheme following the success of its intern programme which was launched last year.

Coventry University graduates Reshma Amin and Silviu Hodasi, who are both 22, have secured permanent positions after successfully completing the intern programme.

Reshma, who lives in Northampton, has been hired as a talent co-ordinator and will support the human resources department by developing frameworks to help people develop and grow internally.

Silviu, who lives in Coventry, has come on board as the company’s graphic designer and has already been involved with a number of creative projects as well as helping to update the company’s brand guidelines.

James Diegnan, a Manchester Metropolitan University Graduate who lives in Nuneaton, has been hired as a marketing specialist.

Operations Director Paul Crabtree said investing in a graduate programme will help KM&T take a fresh approach to business.

He said: “Our intern programme brought a breath of fresh air to the business with Reshma and Silviu demonstrating such exceptional talent that we decided to offer them permanent positions.

“It was with this in mind that we made the decision to introduce a formal graduate programme. The company has grown year-on-year and we felt that we were in the right position to take on candidates this year.

“It is often a real challenge to find people with the right skills to do what we do and we have a very rigorous recruitment programme to find people that match the right criteria.

“One of the reasons we went directly to Coventry University is that the connection we have developed with them really works.

“The individuals we recruited last year as interns have been hugely successful and we were looking for people that would havethat same drive, enthusiasm and hunger.”

Dalvinder Sanghera, employer engagement manager at Coventry University, added: “The University has a big emphasis on employer engagement and in making sure that our students are business ready and employable.

“All of the graduates hired by KM&T possessed the sameethos and approach to business as KM&T and I wish them the best of luck in the future.”
