Latest Leeds office deal gives wealth management firm room for growth

Acting on behalf of Kames Capital, the owners of City Point in Leeds, letting agents JLL and Sanderson Weatherall have let 11,146 sq ft of office space on a ten year lease to wealth management firm Ashcourt Rowan for its new Leeds office.

The move to new office premises follows Ashcourt Rowan’s purchase earlier in the year of financial services group UKWM, which was headquartered in Leeds.  Their new space, on the building’s 3rd floor, can accommodate up to 130 people, over double of the firm’s previous offices in Lisbon Square, providing the firm with plenty of opportunity for expansion.  Ashcourt Rowan has 17 offices nationwide.

Ashcourt Rowan’s chief executive Jonathan Polin, said: “We have made no secret of our desire to grow our presence in Leeds – it is an ideal location given the wealth of local skills in financial services across the board.

“London will remain our head office but our move to City Point ensures Leeds will be our second largest hub and help support our growing footprint nationally.”

Jeff Pearey, director of office agency at JLL who advised on the letting, added: “City Point provides a more central location and an enhanced working environment for Ashcourt Rowan’s staff and their move now just leaves one floor, comprising 11,146 sq ft remaining.”

City Point, one of Leeds’ most prominent office buildings, is situated in the middle of the city’s professional and financial district on the corner of King Street and Park Place.  It has already attracted a number of businesses including JLL and HSBC.
