Increase in deal levels reduces available space

South coast property consultants Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell has sold number 1 Acorn Business Park to Frontline Communications, one of the UK’s leading telephone answering service businesses.

Established 15 years ago on the South Coast, Frontline has been providing UK and international companies with a personalized and professional telephone answering service. The business has expanded in recent years and the move to Acorn Business Park has given the business much needed addition space for Frontline to continue its growth plans.

Frontline Communications’ purchase of one of the last available offices on Acorn Business Park further demonstrates the change in confidence in the commercial property market. This is the third deal on this well located Portsmouth business park in recent months and leaves just 3,000 sq ft of available space, where a year ago it was more than double that.

Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell Agency Director, Tom Holloway said:
“Since the beginning of the year we have seen increasing demand for quality office space that is well positioned with good transport and communication links. Availability across the south is continuing to reduce and this is starting to have a knock on effect on price. Those occupiers looking to move, need to plan ahead to ensure they are ready to move so as to avoid missing out on their preferred location

Frontline Communications’ Nigel Jones added:
“With the expansion of the business, we needed to find a new building from where we could continue to grow. The move from Whiteley to Acorn Business Park has provided us with spacious and modern offices, conveniently located on the outskirts of Portsmouth.
“We can now offer our customers enhanced services and additional resources, and are looking forward to the future.”
