Breakfast event for manufacturers

Manufacturers looking for a clear path into overseas trade are set to benefit from a breakfast event in Coventry later this month.

The Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual Business and Trade Expo at the Ricoh Arena on February 28.

That event is being preceded by a breakfast aimed at manufacturers and engineers, which is being hosted by the British Chambers of Commerce and NatWest.

It will start at 8.30am and run through until 10am – just in time for the opening of the Expo.

The event will offer clear advice on where to go for information on exporting and will hear about many of the common issues faced by firms looking to do business overseas.

There will also be a presentation from a local manufacturer on how they have traded abroad.

Angela Tellyn, partnership manager at the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “The Expo is already looking set to be very popular. All the stands have been taken and there is a lot of interest from businesses wanting to visit.

“Ideally, companies will register if they want to attend but businesses can drop in on the day if they prefer.

“This breakfast is an added dimension to the day’s events and we are delighted that the British Chambers and NatWest will be here with us.

“One of the key messages the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber has been driving over recent months is the importance of exporting and also of rebalancing the economy towards manufacturing and engineering.

“This breakfast brings together both of those messages and should be of real interest to firms of all sizes in this sector.”

Companies attending the breakfast do need to register for catering purposes. For more information call 024 7665 4321 or email [email protected]
