Top price achieved for Worcester mixed use property

Leading Midland independent property consultancy GJS Dillon has achieved a top price for retail and residential premises on a popular Worcester out-of-town shopping parade.

The property, in Barbourne Road to the north of Worcester city centre, sold for more than 60 per cent above its guide price.

The ground floor double-fronted retail premises is let to a hairdressing and beauty salon, while there are two let maisonette apartments above. GJS Dillon sold the premises as an investment property on behalf of a private individual. It was acquired by a local property investor.

The guide price for the 3,202 sq ft premises at auction was £150,000, but the property sold for £240,000.

John Dillon, director of GJS Dillon said, “This is a good, solid property in a popular local shopping parade on one of the main arterial roads leading into the city centre, so we were pleased it achieved an excellent price for our client.”
