East Mids businesses team up to find ‘The Tech Factor’

Two East Midlands-based businesses have founded a brand new apprentice scheme in a bid to train up and supply jobs for up to ten people.

Rob Pearson, Managing Director of IT service and support company PepperIT has joined forces with David Hall, Managing Director of e-commerce solutions business EasyWebstore to create ‘The Tech Factor’ – which aims to find up to ten aspiring technology workers and give them permanent employment at the end of the year-long scheme.

“Having experienced some rapid expansion in the last two years, we are looking for people with the skills and desire to learn about the technology industry to join our teams,” said Rob.

“The chosen candidates will be at the very front of cutting edge techniques and skill sets. It’s an excellent opportunity to really see how the industry works and the direction in which it is moving.”

PepperIT works with big name companies such as British Gas, while EasyWebstore is contracted by global businesses like coffee chain Starbucks.

“We’ll be looking to fill junior roles in all areas of the tech industry, such as programming, sales, support, hardware and security via the Apprentice Scheme – but we’ll also be looking for more experienced candidates to fill senior account manager and IT engineer positions,” said David.

“We want positive people with a real ‘can-do’ attitude. And the key message is simple – if you’re chosen to participate and you complete the course, we’ll find permanent employment for you.”

Applications are still open for the 12-month training course, which will start in 2014.

Final interview heats will take place in Chesterfield, Mansfield, Derby and Nottingham in late November.
