Airwatch expands again at IM Properties’ refurbished Phoenix House

The world’s largest mobile device management firm, AirWatch, has leased additional space at IM Properties’ refurbished Grade A Phoenix House.

The American firm has secured 5,561 sq ft of new space on the building’s second floor on a five year lease, adding to their existing accommodation of over 20,500 sq ft on the third floor.

AirWatch, which manages its European and Middle Eastern operations from Milton Keynes, has seen rapid growth in the last 18 months, expanding its requirement at Phoenix House from an initial 12,490 sq ft letting in April 2012 with a further 8,155 sq ft taken four months later, and now this latest new space.

As well as securing this additional space, AirWatch has simultaneously re-geared its lease for the top floor for a further five years.

Phoenix House is located in Station Square, adjacent to Milton Keynes railway station, just minutes from the motorway network. IM’s extensive refurbishment has included new air conditioning, lighting, lifts, toilet and shower facilities, the reception area and card access entry system. The property also offers a high ratio of secure car parking.

The property is surrounded by the headquarters of blue chip companies including Santander and Network Rail.

AirWatch EMEA Managing Director Ian Evans said: “We have seen exceptional growth across all areas of the business over the last 18 months and IM Properties has provided us with the space to meet this expansion. As a landlord, IM Properties is responsive, quick to assist where possible and fully understand our needs.

“The refurbishment of Phoenix House perfectly suited to our needs and with its accessible location, we can be in London within 35 minutes. This aligns perfectly with our strategy of employing local people while attracting staff from further afield who are able to relocate here.”

Rob Hemus, Asset Manager at IM Properties, said: “AirWatch has been an exceedingly committed tenant at Phoenix House and we are delighted to provide them with the additional space necessary to meet their growth. This is a clear vote of confidence in Phoenix House, Milton Keynes and IM Properties’ commitment to provide first rate, strategically-located buildings and we are delighted to support Airwatch in their recent expansion. This is not only great news for us, but also for Milton Keynes.”

AirWatch is the world leader in enterprise-wide mobile device and WLAN management solutions. It was highlighted at an event organised by UK Trade & Investment (UKT&I) during the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to showcase the best of UK ICT innovations and technology to delegates from around the world.

Phoenix House is being jointly let by Louch Shacklock & Partners and Cushman & Wakefield with remaining space including circa 8,000 sq ft on the first floor and circa 4,000 sq ft on the ground floor.
