Leading commercial building, project and sustainability consultancy Jones Hargreaves has reported a 60% turnover uplift in its latest accounts after successfully bolstering its ESG services, opening new offices and expanding its team.

The national consultancy firm, which has offices in London, Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds, Manchester, and Glasgow, completed over 800 instructions and increased its headcount to 35 during the year ended 31 December 2023. The business was founded 15 years ago by Matthew Jones and Peter Hargreaves and has actively scaled-up its operations in recent years.

Matthew Jones, founding partner at Jones Hargreaves, said: “2023 was our busiest to date. The success of last year is down to the hard work and dedication of the team who are helping to unlock potential right across the UK. We pride ourselves on helping a variety of commercial property clients – whether that’s owners, occupiers or investors – to make informed decisions in relation to industrial, retail and office schemes.

“The commercial property sector has undoubtedly faced challenges in recent years but we are still seeing an active market. In particular, many new and existing clients require robust ESG advice and reporting. We expect this to continue as clients continue to seriously consider the impact of every building’s footprint on society.”

January 2024 has already seen a busy start to the current financial year for Jones Hargreaves, with the firm undertaking more than 100 instructions including Reinstatement Cost Assessments, dilapidations, office refurbishments, industrial building projects, ESG reports and much more.

Jones added: “We look forward to the coming financial year, as we continue to dynamically expand our consultancy to meet the evolving needs of clients. ”

Jones Hargreaves offers services including project management and building, MEP, sustainability and ESG consultancy. The firm has a dedicated and adapting ESG and sustainability team able to scrutinise potential acquisitions, improve the management of existing portfolios and advise on improving energy and carbon performance. Clients include Columbia Threadneedle, London and Scottish Property, LXi REIT, Abrdn, Duchy of Lancaster, Fidelity, Elite Partners Capital and Mileway.
