Foundation instructs Kirkby Diamond to manage property portfolio

A major Milton Keynes charity has instructed commercial property consultancy Kirkby Diamond to manage its portfolio of commercial properties and land.

Milton Keynes Community Foundation (MKCF) has a portfolio of around 230,000 sq ft of mixed-use property including offices, industrial, retail and leisure sites. It also has several developed and undeveloped land sites within Milton Keynes

Kirkby Diamond property management director Lisa Stutely said: “We are thrilled to have been instructed by the Milton Keynes Community Foundation to manage its extensive portfolio of commercial property and land.

“We were required to submit a tender and a pitch, then delivered a presentation where we were competing against other local and national property management companies, so to have been selected represents a major vote of confidence in our team.”

She added: “MKCF is a very important organisation for the people of the area, delivering wonderful support right across the community for all sorts of causes. We are looking forward to working closely with MKCF to ensure we deliver an outstanding property management service across its entire portfolio.”

Ian Revell, chief executive of Milton Keynes Community Foundation, said: “Following a successful tender process, we are thrilled to announce that Kirkby Diamond, a multi-award-winning commercial agency, has been selected to manage MK Community Foundation’s property portfolio.

“As an organisation with clear values and commitments for our city, we were impressed with Kirkby Diamond’s presentation and look forward to working closely to develop more opportunities and support for the voluntary and community sector of Milton Keynes.”

Senior surveyor Ally Phillips will be the day-to-day point of contact at Kirkby Diamond. She has experience of working with charitable foundations having worked at The Parks Trust, another very well-known charitable foundation in Milton Keynes. Other members of the property management team have had experience of working with MKCF in the past and are well equipped to deal with this type of instruction, added Lisa.

MKCF is a grant-making charity sending funding where it’s needed most in Milton Keynes. It is dedicated to making a difference and improving the lives of people within the local community by funding a diverse range of projects. It relies on donations, kindness and generosity so that it can continue to fund fairness across Milton Keynes. Since 1986, MKCF has been supporting and growing the voluntary, community and cultural sectors. Its strategic goal is to build a thriving, philanthropic, creative, equitable and fair community.

MKCF was endowed plots of land by the Milton Keynes Development Corporation in the 1990s to be used for community purposes in Milton Keynes. These plots have been used by a variety of local charities working to improve local lives.
