Knight Frank bolsters Industrial Capital Markets team with three new hires following record year

Knight Frank has expanded its Industrial Capital Markets team with three new hires, following a record year for the sector and the team at Knight Frank.

James Clark joins as an Associate from Cushman & Wakefield where he led the industrial valuation team. James has over eight years’ experience advising investors and developers on the sector and brings with him a wealth of knowledge having worked closely with a number of leading investors in the sector, including Capital Industrial, Legal & General and Valor. Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, James qualified at Deloitte Real Estate in 2015.

Georgie Roberts joins the team as a Senior Surveyor from Knight Frank’s Restructuring and Recovery team. She has over six years’ experience in investment and transaction management, having started her career at Acuitus where she advised a broad range of clients on the acquisition and disposal of commercial property across the UK. Most recently, she has focused on providing in-depth advice to financial institutions on both transaction execution and asset management of distressed and performing portfolios. Her most recent experience has given her great expertise in more complex transactions and problem solving, a resource that she will bring to the team.

Annabel Marsdin joins as a Surveyor from Avison Young, where she qualified in November 2020 and spent two years on the graduate scheme working across capital markets, valuation, lease advisory and sustainability.

Robust levels of take-up and strong inflation-beating rental growth in the sector saw investors pour £17.5 billion into UK industrial and logistics assets in 2021, an 86% increase in investment volumes from 2020. Knight Frank’s team advised on 56 transactions, totalling in excess of £2.4bn, including notable deals such as the acquisition of the JLR facility, Solihull for £132.5m, the disposal of Peterborough 736 for £120m and the acquisition of Heritage House, Enfield for £87.25m.

Charlie Divall, Head of Industrial Capital Markets at Knight Frank, said: “Following a record-breaking year for the sector and Knight Frank team, we are delighted to welcome Annabel, Georgie and James. The outlook for 2022 is very positive and these strategic appointments reflect Knight Frank’s intent to deliver our clients with market-leading advice and expertise.”
