Glentrool Estates strengthen talented team with new Project Manager

Rebecca Hailey

Glentrool Estates Group, the Yorkshire-based property development and investment company, has appointed Rebecca Hailey as Project Manager.

Rebecca joins Glentrool from property consultancy JLL where she was an associate director and chartered building surveyor for 14 years. She previously worked for Montague Evans Building Consultancy and Baily Garner in London.

Her clients included Legal and General, IPIF, Aviva, Barclays and Standard Life.

Rebecca commented: “This is a tremendously exciting opportunity for me. Glentrool are one of the most respected independent property development companies in the north of England and I am proud to be joining a close-knit and talented team.

“My main responsibility will be progressing the development of Sherburn2, Glentrool’s successful logistics and warehousing development in Sherburn-in-Elmet. More specifically, I will soon be delivering the spine road on the development, including the utilities infrastructure, together with the north and south phases at Sherburn2 and Sherburn3.

“My first challenge was to assist the Glentrool team to exchange on the recent multi-million pound sale of 37 acres of Sherburn2 to the Firethorn Trust. This deal was excellent for all concerned, enabling Firethorn to swiftly and speculatively deliver high-quality units for occupiers.

“More generally, I will be involved in the programming and budget appraisals for proposed industrial developments within Glentrool’s portfolio, together with providing project management, dilapidations and professional building surveying advice,” she explained.

Jeremy Nolan, director of Glentrool commented: “We are delighted to welcome such an experienced and talented project manager like Rebecca to our team. She arrives at Glentrool at a significant time in our development, as we look to build on our success at Sherburn2 and enhance and expand our commercial property portfolio.

He added “The development of the remainder of Sherburn2, following the Firethorn sale, is a long-term project, which demands the fullest commitment from us. Rebecca is perfect for this challenging and satisfying role.”

Rebecca, who grew up in Harrogate, and studied at Nottingham Trent University, is married with two children. Her interests include yoga, technology, ballet and photography.
