Lettings run continues at Derbion with two new signings

Following a brace of high profile lettings totaling over 200,000 sq ft, Derbion has signed two additional brands, Jamaica Blue and Laser Clinics United Kingdom, with both set to open their doors this autumn.

Award-winning café, Jamaica Blue, will offer high-quality coffee made with beans from the Jamaican Blue Mountains, alongside an all-day menu focused on fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.

Opening later this month, the 2,500 sq ft eatery will be the eighth location for Jamaica Blue, with its casual dining ethos sitting comfortably alongside Derbion’s extensive F&B offer.

Bolstering Derbion’s wellbeing offering, Laser Clinics United Kingdom will open in October, taking 2,000 sq ft of retail space and providing a range of skin treatments, laser hair removal and cosmetic injectables.

The brand, which is the largest cosmetic clinic company globally, opened its first clinic in 2008 and has over 165 sites worldwide across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

In addition, Judith Hart Jewellers, one of the largest independently owned jewellers in Derbyshire, is investing in a new 1,200 sq ft store at the centre, having maintained a presence in the city for more than 40 years. After investing more than £250,000 in the re-fit, the contemporary new store will also include a new workshop, where a goldsmith will be on hand to personalise products for customers.

The arrival of Jamaica Blue and Laser Clinics follows Derbion’s recent announcement of more than 200,000 sq ft of new lettings, including a new concept store from Frasers, FLANNELS Mango and Tommy Hilfiger.

Michael Boundy, senior asset manager at Derbion, commented: “We are committed to reviewing and strengthening our breadth of offer across retail, F&B and leisure to create a real point of difference for Derbion, and we’re delighted to be continuing our run of lettings with Jamaica Blue and Laser Clinics.

“Securing such a wide range of national and international brands demonstrates the confidence they have in Derby. With a growing number of retailers and leisure operators investing in new and existing spaces at Derbion, we continue to strengthen our offer, ensuring the centre’s position as the destination of choice in the East Midlands.”

Derbion has been at the heart of Derby since 2007 and typically attracts 21 million visitors each year. The venue is home to a number of household names, including M&S, Next, H&M, BOSS, Whistles, Hobbs and Zara.

As one of the UK’s most central cities, and with its strong transport links, Derby’s location offers easy access to and from major cities. With £4 billion of investment in the last 10 years, and an ambitious pipeline of £2.3 billion of known projects, Derby is a dynamic and changing city which is set to become a popular location for people to live and work.
