Selling ideas of innovation and impact

The University of Wales, Newport is helping entrepreneurs to maximise the value of their business ideas at a special event next month.

The IP for Impact event takes place on Friday 7th December from 10am to 5pm at the award-winning City Campus, bringing together experts in Intellectual Property (IP) to deliver a range of seminars, presentations and information.

As well as answering your IP questions, the event will provide the latest information and advice for businesses and individuals who need a helping hand to get their product idea to market.

The University is collaborating with the Intellectual Property Office to deliver an interactive session covering the four main areas of Intellectual Property – trademarks, patents, designs and copyright – to show you how to protect your IP rights.

Help and advice will also be on offer from Welsh Government Business Innovation; and Enterprise Europe Networks, which provides free access to live business and technology partnering opportunities.

One-to-one advice clinics are also available at 10am, 12noon and 2pm. Training sessions are bookable throughout the day, and seminars will take place at 10am and 2pm. For more information, www.newport.ac.uk/events/
