DTZ Cardiff announces Associate Director promotions

DTZ, a UGL company has today announced a series of promotions to Director, Associate Director and Senior Surveyor in the UK. Two of these promotions are to Associate Director in DTZ’s Cardiff office.

Andrew Gibson, Agency and David White, Rating have both been promoted to Associate Directors.

Andrew joined DTZ in 2004 and for the last four years he has focused on the retail and leisure development markets. Andrew heads up DTZ’s work as the retained agent for Premier Inn in South Wales and he has been particularly successful in completing new hotel agreements for Premier Inn in Barry, Tenby and Newport during the last twelve months. In his new Associate Director role, Andrew will also take on Investment Agency responsibilities for DTZ within the South Wales region; he will act for both local and national clients on their investment acquisition and disposal instructions.

David joined DTZ in 2011 and specialises in non-domestic rating and council tax. He deals with rating appeals across the UK, with particular focus on Wales and the south west, and has negotiated several million pounds worth of savings on behalf of DTZ clients. David also heads up a leading-edge rate mitigation project for a major high street bank client. This project has secured savings of over £5m in 18 months. He also takes particular interest in ‘Thought Leadership’ issues and is responsible for briefing the rating team on important new legislation and case law, with particular focus on how these changes could affect DTZ clients.
