Speculative office development on the cards at Ashby business park

A regional property developer has been granted planning permission to construct additional offices at a popular business park in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire.

Clowes Developments is currently on site speculatively building two semi-detached office buildings at Ivanhoe Business Park which will be available on a leasehold or freehold basis, from 2,500 sq ft to 7,230 sq ft. This will be the first speculative development to take place in the area for a number of years.

The business park which comprises a combination of office and industrial space is being marketed by DTZ, a UGL company, and Salloway of Burton on Trent, Derby and Nottingham.

Helen Longstaffe, Director, Business Space at DTZ in Nottingham commented: “This is a massive vote of confidence for Ivanhoe Business Park and demonstrates Clowes’ commitment to the site, particularly as there are very few developers speculatively developing at the moment.”

Phil Randle, Partner of Salloway at Burton on Trent echoed Helen’s views and he expected the Development to follow the success of the first phase which attracted companies including SVA, Himisella and Wilson Vale.

Located two miles from junction 13 of the A42 directly off the A511, Ivanhoe Business Park comprises a 29 acre landscaped development offering design and build offices from 2,000 to 50,000 sq ft. Existing industrial / warehouse units are available between 4,000 sq ft to 7,000 sq ft and up to 170,000 sq ft on a design and build basis.
