Pontyclun estate gets back to business

The Coed Cae Lane Industrial Estate in Pontyclun has received a major boost recently with the arrival of local company, Air Cleaning Services Ltd (ACS). The company, which manufactures extract and filtration equipment for a variety of different industries, has relocated from Springmeadow Industrial estate in Wentloog, Cardiff to a 20,000 sq ft unit on the estate which is owned by clients of Valad Europe, the leading specialist industrial and business space asset management business.

Valad refurbished the unit to the occupier’s specification and ACS has signed a 10 year lease of the premises. Mike Lemkey, Managing Director of ACS, commented: “The space and location were ideal and the financial deal makes sense for us as we continue to grow our business.”

Rob Ladd, Director at DTZ in Cardiff, the letting agent for the estate, added: “Valad are generally able to take a very practical approach. They recognised this as a dynamic, well-managed company and were therefore flexible enough to tailor a deal which reflected the investment being made by ACS. We have seen a steady take-up of space over the last year or so but this is the largest letting so far this year.”

Other recent arrivals at the estate have included, building services group AA Woods Ltd, Topflite Packaging and Gym Fusion. Last year existing tenants Glass Solutions Ltd renewed their lease and expanded by 50% on the estate. Coed Cae Lane is also home to RCT Borough Council, JE Bernard & Co, and Dhaliwal Dairies.

Rob Howe, Head of Real Estate at Valad commented: “It is great to see local companies thriving on our estates and we expect to see many more success stories over the next few months. The last few years have been difficult for everyone and we are delighted to see evidence of a general recovery in the area.”
