Leading independent property advisor, GVA has completed the letting of a 99,000 sq ft industrial unit at Drayton Manor Business Park near Tamworth in Staffordshire.
The unit, the largest on the park, has been let on a five year lease to specialist national furniture distributor Home and Retail Deliveries Ltd on behalf of site owner, FI Real Estate Management.
Located close to Drayton Manor Park and Zoo, the 42 acre Drayton Manor Business Park is situated on the A4091, just five miles from the M6 Toll and two miles from junction 10 of the M42, providing immediate access to the UK motorway network.
Mark Fitzpatrick, Associate, GVA, said: “We have recently seen a good deal of industrial letting activity in and around Tamworth, primarily due to the high quality of stock, availability and outstanding transport connectivity to the rest of the UK.
“The completion of this deal leaves only a few units available at the park, ranging from 7,000 sq ft to 45,000 sq ft and with the renewed optimism that we’ve seen in the market recently, it would be surprising if they remained vacant for too much longer.”
First opened in the 1950s, Drayton Manor Business Park is a secured site that has been continually developed to provide a range of office headquarters, distribution and warehousing units.
Home and Retail Deliveries Ltd will relocate from its current location at Tamworth’s Centurion Business Park and will take occupancy of the unit at Drayton Manor Business Park in February 2014.
Tim Hobbs, Managing Director, Home and Retail Deliveries Ltd, said: “With the M42 and M6 Toll on the doorstep, Drayton Manor Business Park was an obvious choice when we were looking for new premises. The purpose-built units are ideal for our warehousing and distribution requirements and the out of town location is perfect.
“GVA was exceedingly helpful in ensuring that we found the right premises and we are now looking forward to opening our new distribution centre.”
GVA acts jointly on Drayton Manor Business Park with Knight Frank.
