UK flooring distributor Likewise Group plc has acquired a second distribution centre in Morley in Yorkshire for £3 million to enable further streamlining of its supply chain management.
The 21,000 sq ft unit of warehousing and office space at Howley Park Industrial Estate, lies just a mile from the M62 and is just two miles away from the 80,000 sq ft distribution centre Likewise opened at Leeds 27 Industrial Estate in 2020.
The news comes as Birmingham-based Likewise recently confirmed that the extension to the company’s distribution hub in Newport, Wales, is on schedule to come online as planned in July 2026.
Tony Brewer, chief executive of Likewise Group plc, said: “The acquisition of the freehold of a second distribution hub in Leeds allows for the planning and streamlining of incoming containers to be handled more efficiently and will also release capacity at our other centres across the UK.
“This new investment in Leeds, and the additional storage and cutting capacity at Newport, will help us drive our growing sales revenue towards £250 million.”
Likewise Group plc’s financial results for 2025, announced at the end of April, showed that the company had made further progress towards its initial £200 million turnover target in 2025.
Sales increased by 9% to £163.1 million from £149.8 million, in the year to 31 December 2025.
The company had latterly recorded a flying start to 2026, with sales up 15% in the first quarter and April sales maintaining similar momentum.
Founded in 2018, Likewise Group plc supplies independent flooring retailers and contractors across the UK through 13 strategically located centres.
