Fresh from the success of a record-breaking year, Cartwright has been recognised as one of the fastest-growing agencies in the UK for the first time.
The agency has been named the 14th fastest-growing in the PR Week Top 150, which ranks businesses in the PR and marketing industry on turnover and business growth. With an improved overall position at 120 (moving up the rankings by 24 places from 2025), Cartwright was also recognised in 17th place in the ‘outside London’ agency list, and fourth of those headquartered in the Midlands.
The ranking follows a series of award and new business wins for the 40-strong team, including a gold award for Best Digital Campaign and silver for Best Medium Agency at the CIPR Midlands awards.
Cartwright – which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year – recently launched the first UK venue for Slick City, supported bedding specialist Woolroom’s partnership with Sony/Amazon MGM Studios’ The Sheep Detectives, as well as adding refurbishment and maintenance service Lovell Renew to its stable of work with the national housebuilder.
Rose Hayes, joint managing director at Cartwright, said: “Our rebrand in April last year was the beginning of a real focus on the growth of our services and taking exceptional care of our clients, all while sharpening our approach to new business. Being a valued ally for clients and contributing to their own success in an always changing world is paying dividends for both them and us.
“Combined with our recent award wins and partnering with a roster of new clients, our ranking by PR Week is well-deserved recognition of the team’s dedication to continue doing what’s right by clients and not standing still in an industry that is constantly innovating.”
The ranking follows a year that has seen Cartwright named Agency of the Year at the 2025 Construction Marketing Awards and official storytelling partner for UKREiiF 2026. Operating nationwide from offices in Nottingham, London and Birmingham, the agency recently appointed Rose and Annie Brafield as joint managing directors, with Liz Cartwright moving to a founder role.
The agency’s teams work across PR, digital, social media and planning and stakeholder communications for prominent businesses such as international vision brand ZEISS, leading procurement framework managing agent Pagabo and global sustainability consultancy SLR Consulting.
