Hartwell Plc, the automotive and property development company, has secured The Ultimate Activity Company, the education and childcare specialist, at Frontier building at Wootton Science Park to the south-west of Oxford.
Established in 2000, The Ultimate Activity Company provides outstanding Ofsted regulated activity day camps with the primary function of delivering a very high level of care and welfare for 4-14 year olds during the school holidays.
It has taken 2,200 sq ft (204 sq m) of high-quality workspace for its new headquarters and will relocate its 23 staff from Compass House in Farmoor to Suite 1 on the ground floor at Frontier.
The agreement has meant that Frontier, formerly known as Lashford Court, is now fully let, which reflects continued demand for well-located, high specification workspace at the Park, just six miles from Oxford’s city centre.
The Ultimate Activity Company will join a strong line-up of occupiers within the building which includes Hartwell’s HQ and Ebbon Dacs, the automotive software group.
Luke Hayward, managing director, The Ultimate Activity Company said: “Wootton Science Park provides the perfect combination of location, quality and flexibility for our next phase of growth. The additional space allows us to easily bring together our team who are based across the county in a professional environment that supports collaboration and future expansion.”
The letting has demonstrated sustained occupier confidence in Wootton Science Park’s offer, which combines accessible strategic positioning with modern, flexible workspace tailored to growing businesses.
Joanne Churchill, group property manager, Hartwell PLC said: “We warmly welcome The Ultimate Activity Company and their staff to Frontier as part of their exciting growth strategy. Achieving full occupancy in the building underlines the strength of demand we are seeing from ambitious, growing businesses that value both connectivity and quality.”
Hartwell has owned Wootton Science Park since 1975 and built the first office building in 2005. Its masterplan was recently approved to deliver circa 106,233 sq ft (9,869 sq m) across five new commercial buildings and connected amenities and facilities for future employees and the surrounding community, which will include high quality landscaped areas, secure bike storage, a bistro and gym.
Wootton Science Park is already home to companies that include Bupa’s Stratum Dermatology Clinic and DeepTech Recycling which are based in Origin, the two-storey, purpose built CL2 laboratory building. Two units are available for companies that seek high-quality laboratory, R&D or office accommodation in a rural location close to Oxford.
CBRE and Savills acted on behalf of Hartwell; Bidwells acted on behalf of The Ultimate Activity Company.
