Muse, the nationwide placemaker and regeneration specialist, has hired Guy Powell as Senior Project Manager in its south regional team, to bolster its capability in-line with a growing delivery pipeline.
Guy has over 16 years’ experience in the built environment. He joins from Populo Living Ltd, where he was the delivery lead for mixed-use and residential developments with project values of circa. £100m. Prior to this, he worked at Turner & Townsend as project manager on high profile urban transformations and infrastructure developments including Battersea Power Station and Chelsea Barracks Phase 1-3a. He has experience leading complex developments that place sustainability, social value and community outcomes at the centre of delivery.
Guy will report into Phil Day, Director of Project Management, and will be responsible for the delivery of major regeneration programmes across the southern region, ensuring developments are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
The appointment comes at a pivotal point for Muse’s expanding southern pipeline, following the signing of the development agreement at Station Gateway, Stevenage and Muse’s appointment as preferred partner for the next phases of the Bristol Temple Quarter masterplan. With several masterplans now moving into their next phase of delivery across London and the wider region, the role is central to maintaining momentum across Muse’s development portfolio.
Guy Powell, Senior Project Manager at Muse said: “Muse is behind some of the UK’s most impressive examples of genuinely community-led developments. Its reputation and track record of delivery, particularly on complex urban regeneration masterplans, is second-to-none. What really stands out to me, is the scale and ambition of its project pipeline in London and the South. I am excited to be joining the team and to play a role in developments that create lasting social, economic and environmental value.”
Simon Harding-Roots, Regional Managing Director at Muse for the South, added: “Guy’s expertise in sustainable and responsible development and technology in construction aligns with our ethos at Muse for delivering developments that are commercially successful, but, crucially, create a positive lasting impact on communities and the environment. His appointment reinforces our commitment to excellence and innovation across all our places.”
